Cat Tech Pty Ltd is a software technology company focused on developing advanced online E-commerce catalogues for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). These catalogues equip the SMEs with technology that will ensure that they are compliant with an ever increasing number of e-marketplaces. While more sophisticated large enterprises have commenced establishing systems to electronic procurement, little product development has occurred targeting the SMEs. The implementation of standards for procurement over the Internet is considered critical to realising the projected benefits of business-to-business (B2B) E-commerce between buying (generally government and large corporate) and selling (small-to-medium enterprises) organisations.

The critical nature of open buying standards is, however, only now being realised by the governments and large corporations. In Australia, Commonwealth and State government bodies are starting to request that their software suppliers provide 'buying' solutions that are compliant with Open Buying on the Internet (OBI) standard.

Cat Tech has identified a gap in the marketplace and has established a product range and product distribution strategy; that is, to achieve a significant position in the provision of software technology to enable SME's to participate in B2B E-commerce.

The Cat Tech product range enables SMEs and Web Development companies to produce B2B compliant catalogues without the need to understand complex security and inter-organisational transaction issues.
