Coupa punchout integration guide for suppliers

A Coupa punchout integration connects a supplier's ecommerce catalogue with a customer's Coupa procurement environment. Users shop on the supplier site, return their cart to Coupa and submit it through the customer's normal approval process.

Define the integration scope

Start by confirming whether the project covers punchout only or also includes cXML purchase orders, acknowledgements, shipping messages and invoices. Identify the buyer's test and production environments, onboarding contacts and required dates.

Prepare the punchout ecommerce experience

The supplier site should recognise the buyer from the incoming request and apply the correct catalogue, contract prices, permissions and delivery rules. It should not require the user to sign in again. The checkout action must return the cart rather than take payment on the supplier website.

Configure credentials and endpoints

Exchange the cXML identity values, shared secrets and URLs required for testing. Store credentials securely and keep test values separate from production. Confirm how credentials will be rotated and who owns future configuration changes.
